Position Summary:

Responsible for managing and directing the workflow of the credit analysts assigned to the department. Enforcing credit policy, monitoring and evaluating all applicable credit functions. Supports the company’s quality management programs by providing effective customer service to internal and external customers. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company. This position reports to the Credit Manager and is based out of our distribution warehouse in Rock Island, IL. This is not a remote position.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supervises Collection associates to include, but not limited to: hiring, scheduling work, and providing training and guidance, establishing job standards and regularly evaluating performance.

  • Ensures compliance with the credit policy and keeps management informed on any deviations.

  • Demonstrates a strong service quality commitment through personal example and ensures that all associates understand their individual roles in meeting or exceeding internal and external customer expectations.

  • Provides credit and collection analysis for assigned accounts.

  • Reviews and approves daily orders to support sales and profitablity.

  • Resolves issues related to customer accounts, including past due balances and reconciliations.

  • Monitors sales representatives' aging reports in order to keep company exposure within limits and terms.

  • Assists customers and internal departments with information related to open account balances including statements, invoices, payments, credits and adjustments.

  • Performs periodic credit reviews of existing accounts with sales team.

  • Understands reports from credit reporting agencies and analysis of historical data to assess requests for terms and credit lines.

  • Maintains credit files with proper, complete and accurate documentation.

  • Enters new customer account set-up information and changes/corrections to existing customer accounts.

  • Handles credit related correspondence in a timely, professional and secure manner.

  • Prepares account files to send to collection agencies and collection attorneys.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

2-4 years Commercial credit and/or collections or related

area experience
